Uganda Visa Requirement For Ghanaian Passport Holders

The good news for Ghanaian citizens is that Uganda offers visa-free entry for short visits.

Visa-Free Policy for Ghanaians

  • Duration: Up to 3 months (90 days)
  • Purpose: Tourism, business, and short-term visits
  • There is no need to apply for a visa before your trip if you’re visiting Uganda for a period of up to 90 days. However, you must:
  • Hold a valid Ghanaian passport (with at least 6 months’ validity)
  • Have proof of sufficient funds for your stay
  • Show evidence of a return or onward ticket
  • Be prepared to explain the purpose of your visit at the border if required

This policy makes Uganda one of the more accessible East African destinations for Ghanaian travelers.
