Planning a trip to Serbia from Ghana? Whether you’re visiting for business, tourism, or transit, this guide by MyTravel.Africa provides detailed, up-to-date information on how to contact the Serbia Embassy in Ghana, visa requirements for Ghanaian passport holders, and applicable visa fees.

How to Contact the Serbia Embassy in Ghana

Though relatively new in Ghana’s diplomatic landscape, the Serbian Embassy in Accra provides essential consular services to Ghanaians and foreign nationals.

Address: GL-043-8875, Third Dade Walk, Accra

Phone: 030 396 5516

Email: [email protected]

Ghanaians needing assistance with visa applications or consular services should contact the embassy directly or book appointments via email.

Serbia Visa Requirements For Ghanaian Passport Holders

Visa-Free Entry for Ghanaians with Valid Visas or Permits

Ghanaian passport holders who already possess valid visas or residence permits from the Schengen Area, the United States, or UK/EU member states can enter Serbia without a separate Serbian visa. This visa exemption allows travel for up to 90 days within a 6-month period, provided the third-country visa or permit remains valid.

Digital Travel Authorizations Now Available

As of April 23, 2025, Serbia issues visas electronically in the form of Digital Travel Authorizations (DTAs), which can be applied for via the official portal: www.welcometoserbia.gov.rs.

Standard Visa Application Requirements

If you do not qualify for visa-free entry, here’s what you need to apply for a Serbian visa:

  • Completed visa application form
  • Valid passport (at least 90 days beyond the intended stay, with 2 blank pages, and issued within the last 10 years)
  • Recent passport-sized photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm)
  • Visa fee payment
  • Proof of purpose of travel, such as:
  • Certified invitation letter (private visit)
  • Business invitation letter (company in Serbia)
  • Tour itinerary or voucher (tourist trips)
  • Travel medical insurance
  • Accommodation proof (hotel booking or host address)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
  • Return or onward travel ticket

Additional Notes:

For transit visas, applicants must show proof of entry to the next destination.

For long-term visas, more documentation is required depending on the purpose of residence (e.g., work, study, or family reunification).

All documents must be submitted personally or through Serbia’s diplomatic missions. Incomplete applications will not be processed, and the embassy may request additional documentation.

Serbia Visa Fees

Short-stay (Category C) Visa: €90

This fee is subject to change depending on the type and urgency of the application, and applicants are advised to verify with the embassy or through MyTravel.Africa for the most recent updates.
